Scott Seine Promoted To President of Surfdog Inc. & Dave Kaplan Management

Surfdog, Inc./Dave Kaplan Management announced that Scott Seine has been promoted to President of the Encinitas, California-based company.

Seine, who for the past seven years has served as Executive VP/General Manager of both Surfdog and DKM, has presided over the most successful years in the company’s 33-year history, overseeing several top-charting releases and significant campaigns by artists including Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton, Brian Setzer, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Sublime and others.

“Scott is one of those fairy-tale work stories, coming to Surfdog/DKM 16 years ago as the lowest-level intern and rising all the way up to become president of the company,” said Dave Kaplan, Owner/Founder of Surfdog/DKM. “He has it all-great music instincts, relates amazingly with artists, good soul, busts his butt, and sincerely wants to excel for the clients. He now might be a better surfer than me too (but I said might be)!”

“I’m honored to be a part of such a great and passionate team, under Dave’s invaluable mentorship,” added Seine. “I’ve always had an insatiable thirst for music, so it’s a privilege and dream to live that in a career and to work with our amazing artists.  All while next to a cool ocean breeze!”

In his new role as president, Seine will now oversee all staff, business strategy, and company initiatives for the label and management company.
