Dave Stewart Headlines Art On Ice Festival

Award winning musician, singer, songwriter, producer and innovator; Dave Stewart is a living legend who has, literally, written music history. The 100 million album-selling Grammy Award-winner brought his classic Eurythmics songs to the unique magic of Art on Ice at the BCF Arena and the Eishalle Davos in Zurich Switzerland for this once-in-a-lifetime collaboration – as Dave Stewart picks-up his now famous guitar… to join one of the greatest shows on earth.

In the 1980s, Stewart co-founded the groundbreaking powerhouse pop duo that the world would come to know, simply, as Eurythmics.

Global success and a legion of international fans would follow as he penned and produced monster hits from ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’, ‘Here Comes The Rain Again’ and ‘Love is A Stranger’ to ‘There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)’, ‘Would I Lie To You’ and ‘Missionary Man’; just some of the countless evergreen songs that, to this day, remain play-listed across the world’s most popular radio stations.

With early dreams of becoming a professional football player, Dave Stewart’s life took a very different turn towards music when he learned to play the guitar, following an injury sustained playing his beloved football. From there, his love of music grew exponentially as he devoted ever-longer hours to practicing his craft and honing his sound.

He was eventually drawn to London where, in a chance meeting, he would be introduced to his future music partner and muse, Annie Lennox. Lennox soon dropped-out of her music studies and the pair embarked both on a romantic relationship and their first forays into making music in the cult UK band, The Tourists. The end of the band and romantic relationship, a few years later, coincided with the pair forming a new creative partnership: Eurythmics. Their new musical journey would see them become one of the most iconic pop duos of all time; releasing hit-after-hit and reaching the outer limits of pop super-stardom until their dissolution in 1999.

As an elite music producer and songwriter, Dave Stewart’s career would blossom yet further as he notched-up a veritable Who’s Who list of superstar hits and collaborators including: U2, Mick Jagger, Jon Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, Joss Stone, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Ringo Starr, Alison Moyet, Candy Dulfer, Bob Geldof, Daryl Hall and many more.

In 2022, Eurythmics were inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
